Policies & Procedures
Nau mai, haere mai! We are delighted to welcome you to our school community.
Nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling farmland, Maromaku School is located in the Far North, just 15km south of Kawakawa on the way to Whangārei. We pride ourselves on being a small school with a big heart, offering a peaceful and nurturing environment for our tamariki.
Why Choose Maromaku?
At our school, your child isn't just a number; they are an individual. Our small class sizes and dedicated, supportive teachers allow us to provide:
Individualised Learning: Programmes tailored to suit each student’s unique needs.
One-on-One Support: Plenty of direct time with teachers to ensure no one is left behind.
Nature-Based Learning: Our ākonga (learners) thrive by connecting with the natural world as a core part of their daily experience.
Fantastic Facilities & Healthy Living
We are proud to offer modern facilities that enhance our students' learning and play, including:
Our Kaupapa
Maromaku School is more than just a place of study—it is a place for children to flourish, grow, and reach their full potential.

Happy School Holidays, Maromaku Whānau!
As the bell rings for the final time this term, we want to wish all our students, parents, and staff a safe and relaxing school holiday break.
It has been a busy and productive term here at Maromaku School, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work and "can-do" attitude our tamariki have shown. Whether it was on the sports field, in the classroom, or out in our beautiful local environment, everyone has earned a well-deserved rest.
Key Dates to Remember:
Last Day of Term 1: Friday, 2 April 2026
First Day of Term 2: Monday, 20 April 2026
A Few Quick Reminders:
Stay Safe: Whether you’re heading away or enjoying a "staycation," keep an eye out for one another.
Keep Reading: A few chapters a day keeps the brain sharp!
Device Break: We encourage everyone to swap some screen time for green time these holidays.
We look forward to seeing everyone return refreshed, recharged, and ready for another fantastic term of learning.
